How to use this JSON Visualiser

Steps

  1. Paste or type JSON in the left-hand editor. The tool validates it as you type.
  2. Use Format to pretty-print with indentation, or Minify to remove whitespace. Use Copy to copy the editor content, formatted, or minified output.
  3. View the tree on the right: expand or collapse nodes and click a node to see its path (JSON Pointer and dot notation) and copy it.
  4. If your JSON is JSON-LD, switch to JSON-LD mode to see detected types and copy a ready-to-paste script tag.

Features explained

Format

Rewrites your JSON with consistent indentation (2, 4, or 6 spaces) so it’s easy to read. Invalid JSON will not be formatted.

Minify

Removes all unnecessary whitespace (line breaks, spaces) to produce a single-line JSON string. Useful for APIs or smaller file size.

Tree viewer

An interactive view of your JSON: objects and arrays can be expanded or collapsed. Click a node to see its path (JSON Pointer and dot notation) and copy it.

JSON-LD

JavaScript Object Notation for Linked Data. A way to embed structured data in web pages for search engines (e.g. Schema.org). The tool can detect @type and copy a ready-to-paste script tag.

Indent

Number of spaces used when formatting JSON (2, 4, or 6). Only affects formatted output, not the minified result.

JSON Pointer / dot path

Ways to refer to a specific value in the JSON. The tree shows both (e.g. /items/0 and items[0]) when you select a node.
